Not prompts. Not shortcuts. Real fluency in the tools that are reshaping how business gets done.
Live AI, worked in the room. Not a slideshow about it.
Most AI training hands you a phrase book. A list of prompts to copy, a few clever shortcuts, and the promise that you will sound like an expert by Friday. It does not work, because that is not how the tool works. AI is not a search box you feed the right magic words. It is closer to a colleague, one you get more from the more clearly you talk to it.
Fluency is the difference. It is the ability to hold a real, working conversation with AI: to brief it, push back on it, refine what it gives you, and shape the result until it is genuinely yours. Like any language, you do not learn it from a cheat sheet. You learn it by using it, with someone who already speaks it sitting beside you. That is what Altius Intelligence exists to do.
There is a scene many people remember from The Matrix, where a character needs to fly a helicopter and, seconds later, can. That image is the closest thing to what working fluently with AI actually feels like. Things that used to require a specialist, a budget, or weeks of work come within reach of one capable person in an afternoon.
The catch the film leaves out is the interesting part. You do not download the skill in an instant. You learn to hold the conversation. Once you can, the ceiling on what you and your business can do rises dramatically. That is the shift, and the window to get ahead of it is open right now.
You do not need a sprawling toolbox of forty subscriptions. You need a few genuinely capable tools, learned properly, and the judgement to know which to reach for. We teach four, with Claude at the centre, that between them cover almost everything a business needs.
The thinking and writing colleague. Drafting, analysis, research, problem-solving, the conversational core of fluent AI work.
A powerful second mind, strong across research and a complement to Claude when you want another angle.
Natural, professional voice and audio, turning words into something people can listen to.
Video generation that brings ideas to the screen, the visual end of the creative toolkit.
Knowing which tool to reach for, and how to make them work together, is most of the skill. We call it orchestration, and it is where fluency really pays off.
Our classes are grounded in the ideas Christine Ely set out in the Approachable books: short, practical, clear-eyed guides to the open-source and AI tools that have put real capability within reach of ordinary businesses. Each book is a concept the classes bring to life in the room.
Approachable AI
Working with AI as a colleague, not a magic button.
Approachable SuiteCRM
Owning your business systems instead of renting them forever.
Approachable Claude
The one AI to guide them all, fluency in practice.
This is not an abstract seminar about what AI might do one day. Every session is built around real business tasks: the emails, the documents, the research, the customer communication, the day-to-day work that fills your week. You bring your own work, and you leave having done some of it, faster and better, with the tool.
You walk out fluent enough to keep going on your own. That is the point. We are not here to make you dependent on us. We are here to make you capable.
Classes are led by Christine Ely, author of the Approachable series and an AI consultant who has spent her whole working life with computers and software. She does not teach AI from the outside. She uses it every day, in real consulting work, and teaches it the way she actually works.
Alongside her, guest tutors from a range of industries share how they put AI to work in their own fields, from professional services to the trades, so you see fluency applied in settings close to your own. It is one thing to hear the principles. It is another to watch someone in your line of work use them, and explain why.
"AI is not going anywhere, and it is not going to flatten what makes your business yours, unless you let it. Learn the conversation. That is the whole game."
Our hands-on classes take you from prompts to fluency in a single focused day, in a group of just 16, with all three Approachable books to take home. Places are limited.
